Rebecca von Lahnstein is a fictional character on German soap opera "Verbotene Liebe (Forbidden Love)". The character is portrayed by actress Jasmin Lord since June 17, 2008.

Character's background

Rebecca is the younger sister of Sebastian (Joscha Kiefer). She comes to Düsseldorf to visit her brother and must learn that Adrian Degenhardt (Klaus Zmorek), an old friend of her father, who took care of Rebecca and her siblings, after Ludwig died, is in the hospital after he got shot. Rebecca is really worried about the man, who is like a father to her and can't believe, when his own son Constantin (Milan Marcus) refuses to help him with a donation of his kidney, which could save Adrian's life. But Constantin is sure, that Adrian was behind the kidnapping of Sophia, the child of Rebbecca's cousin Carla (Claudia Hiersche). But Rebecca has faith in Adrian and doesn't believe that he would be capable of something like that. She tries again and again to talk to Constantin. And finally Constantin wants to give Adrian his kidney - under one condition: Adrian needs to write down that he kidnapped Sophia. But soon Constantin needs to learn that his confession wouldn't count in court, but donates his kidney anyways. After the donation, Constantin falls into a coma, which brings Adrian on his son's bedside. Rebecca sees that and hopes that some day father and son can find there way back to each other. But as soon as Constantin wakes up, he only wants to prove that Adrian is Sophia's kidnapper.

Meanwhile, Rebecca meets the coffee lounge owner Gregor Mann (Andreas Jancke), who destroys the display of her mobile phone when they first met. Rebecca thinks that Gregor is a total jerk and she isn't prove wrong, when he tries to seduce her. But Rebecca makes clear that the only thing he can hope for is her friendship and at the moment he would be far from that. But with the time, Rebecca also learns the good sides about Gregor and finds out that he comes out of a painful marriage, where his wife cheated on him. They decide to be friends and Gregor promises her to stop his flirtation with her. But soon after his promise, he gets more interested in Rebecca as well as she. When they do a ride with horses and come into a thunderstorm, Rebecca and Gregor flee into a stable, where they almost kiss after Gregor took his wet shirt off.
