ONE Sport

ONE Sport is the name that TV ONE uses for sporting. There are sport bulletins throughout the day on ONE News programmes. TVNZ through the name ONE Sport currently hold the rights to screen events live such as the Commonwealth Games, America's Cup and the Olympics (although rights to the Olympics will go to SKY Television and its free-to-air channel Prime TV after the 2008 Olympic Games). They previously held rights to delayed coverage of Super 14 Rugby, National Provincial Championship (NPC) Rugby, Rugby World Cup, and International Test Rugby union, however these rights were lost to TV3, who subsequently lost the rights again to Prime TV. TV3 also got the rights for the 2008 V8 Supercar series off TV One. ONE Sport still screens Powerbuilt tools Motorsport on a Sunday afternoon, hosted by Geoff Bryan. One Sport previously held rights to all New Zealand netball including the National Bank Cup but with the start of the new ANZ Championships Sky Sport (NZ) and Fox Sport (Australia) now hold rights with TVNZ and ABC Australia Sport showing one Saturday or Sunday match a week.
