- Toyota Memorable Moments
Toyota Memorable Moments are a series of television commercials produced for the
Australian Football League and their major sponsor,Toyota .The commercials feature famed moments of individual brilliance by greats of Australian Rules Football and are presented by comedians
Stephen Curry andDave Lawson . The moments that are featured are re-enacted in a humorous fashion often using props. Not only are the commercials considered entertaining but they serve as somewhat of a history lesson of the sport.The series has proved extremely popular with television viewers and followers of Australian Rules Football, with a ninth installment created during the 2008 football season.
Each installment is themed around qualities associated with the highlight that is featured and that Toyota appears to associate with itself. eg. Power, Genius, Courage.

Dermott Brereton in the 1989 VFL Grand Final is featured, where Brereton's Hawthorn Hawks clashed with the Geelong Cats.Brereton was involved in an incident where Geelong's
Mark Yeates lined the Hawk star up at a centre bounce and applied a vicious shirtfront. Severely winded and concussed, he was attended to by trainers then began to vomit before jogging back into the play. Only minutes later in the game, he marked and kicked an inspirational goal. He would finish with three goals in a game that Hawthorn would win by six points.The commercial features Dave Lawson acting the role of Mark Yeates but instead uses a large plank of wood to apply the hard hit on Brereton. Dermott then regathers himself and spits out a mouthful of canned food to simulate the vomiting, which he experienced in the matched being re-enacted.
They then continue in a humorous manner to imitate a slow-motion running scene of Brereton that is often used in documentaries about the great match. Dermott then kicks a goal and finishes with a Toyota 'Oh what a feeling' jump with Lawson and Curry.
