Matthew Sparkes (b. 29 November, 1982) is a British technology journalist. He is currently employed by
Dennis Publishing , holding the title of Staff Writer atPC Pro magazine. Prior to this he has also written for theBBC ,New Scientist ,Gizmodo ,Make Magazine ,Computer Shopper andInformation World Review .He also has a personal interest in ecological issues, and has contributed to several "green" websites including the Discovery Channel's [http://www.treehugger.com/ TreeHugger] and CNET's [http://www.smartplanet.com/ SmartPlanet] .
He previously attended the
University of East Anglia in Norwich, where he received a BSc (hons) and MSc in computer science. His masters thesis involved developing a more efficient power conductor by using agenetic algorithm to model all possible designs.External links
