Walter Case Jr.

Walter Case Jr.

Walter H. Case Jr. is an American harness racing driver. He holds several driving records, including the all-time record for most driving wins in one calendar year (1998) with 1,077(This record was broken on November 27, 2007 by Tim Tetrick). He has won driving titles at many racetracks such as Yonkers Raceway and Northfield Park. Walter Case Jr. is arguably the best harness driver ever. His career has been marred by numerous fines and suspensions, most notably for substance abuse and violating rules against kicking horses to urge them. Due to his repeated suspensions and his June 22, 2004 arrest and subsequent conviction for stabbing his estranged wife with a steak knife, Walter Case, Jr. is not a currently active driver of harness horses. He is currently serving five years in an Ohio state prison for felonious assault.
