List of Buffy the Vampire Slayer episodes

The following is a list of episodes for the American cult television series, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer". The series began its first season on March 3 1997cite web|url=http://www.tv.com/buffy-the-vampire-slayer/show/10/summary.html?full_summary=1&tag=showspace_links;full_summary&om_act=convert&om_clk=summarysh|title=Buffy the Vampire Slayer summary|accessdate=2006-10-20|work=tv.com] and continued to air for seven seasons until its finale on May 20, 2003. In that time, 144 episodes of the series were aired.

Seasons one to five of the series ran on the WB, and in 2001, it transferred to the United Paramount Network (UPN) for its final two seasons. The story line is continued in comic book form in Season 8

Currently, all the seven seasons of the series are available on DVDs for regions 1 and region 2. Two all-season collections ("The Chosen Collection" and "The Complete DVD Collection") have been released separately for these regions.
