Joseph Shumlanski

Joseph Shumlanski was the last Orthodox bishop of Lviv. Since 1677 secretly converted to the Catholicism, Shumlanski could only establish his Catholic government within diocese in 1700 when the Union of Lviv with the Catholic Church was concluded. Shumlanski was an Uniate Greek Catholic bishop until 1710, having his apostolic succession continuated by an other Catholic bishop.
