Murmansk (Russian: Мурманск) was a light cruiser project no. 68-bis (Sverdlov class based on a NATO classification) of the Soviet and later the
Russian Navy 's Northern Fleet.She was laid down in
Severodvinsk in1953 and commissioned on22 September 1955 . In1994 she was sold toIndia for scrapping but ran aground off Norway at Sørvær village during the transfer.The winterstorms during some years, maybe a decade or two, will finally remove the parts of "Murmansk" that are above water.
