"Instructions for Self Destruction" is the first demo EP self-released by Israeli death/thrash metal band The Fading, under their previous name Excessum. It is the band's debut release.

The album was produced by Acropolis guitarist Daniel Varfolomeyev, and is the only one to feature former guitarist Leon Notik.

Two of the album's five tracks: "Destination, Life" and "Kingdom Loneliness" were later re-recorded for the 2007 promotional debut EP "Chaos in Flesh".
