Weeks before NCmedia day, NCsoft announced a new game only known for its codename Project [M] . For the next two weeks, a teaser website was updated revealing more information about the project.
On July 31 2008, during the yearly NCmedia day, NCsoft announced Blade & Soul. Races

Features
The trailer video revealed that the game will have a cinematic combat system, and the ability to let the players to cook his/her own potion. A flying system called QingGong, also referred as "swift jump" is available.
Exclusive deal with Sony
Last year during
E3 2007 , Sony revealed that they had entered into an exclusive deal withNCsoft to produce new titles exclusively for thePlayStation 3 . This contract included titles from both existing intellectual properties owned byNCsoft as well as new IPs.With Blade & Soul being one of the first new titles announced from NCsoft since , many gamers speculated Blade & Soul to be a
