Roque del Este (Spanish for rock of the east) is an uninhabited island in the
Canary Islands located 12 km northeast of the island ofLanzarote . The opposite of the island is Graciosa. The island is part of theChinijo Archipelago . The island is in the municipality ofTeguise as well as the archipelago.Description
The island forms the easternmost point in the archipelago and is the second smallest. Like the rest of the Canary Islands, it is of volcanic origin and is shaped like an inverted L. The island has two points, a larger point to the north and a smaller point to the south and are located on both ends. The highest point elevating at 84 m lies to the north, whereas to the south is no higher than 63 m.
The island forms a part of Chinijo Archipelago and the
Los Islotes Integral Reserve .External links
