The regions of Singapore are
urban planning subdivisions demarcated by theUrban Redevelopment Authority ofSingapore to aid in its planning efforts.Fact|date=January 2008 Over time, however, these 5region s have also been adopted by other governmental organizations in their administrative work, such as their usage in thecensus of 2000 by theDepartment of Statistics .
