"The Wild One" is a song by Australian rock band Jet featuring American singer Iggy Pop. The song is a tribute to rock and roll legend Johnny O'Keefe. Coincidentally in 1980s Iggy Pop had recorded a cover of O'Keefes songs "Wild One (Real Wild Child)" which was featured in some movie soundtracks in the late 1980's and early 1990's. The song was released as a CD Single and Digital download on July 19, 2008 and has so far peaked at #66 on the ARIA Singles Chart. It is unknown whether the cover will be featured on their upcoming third studio album which is due to be released in late 2008.
