The Asian Pacific Screen Awards are annual awards of merit presented by the The Academy of the Asia Pacific Screen Awards, to recognize excellence of professionals in the film and television industry, including directors, actors, and writers. It is the Asian-Pacific equivalent of the Oscars.
The academy presents the awards in cooperation with CNN International, the International Federation of Film Producers Association and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization.
