Makhtar Thioune (born 5 August 1986) is a Senegalese footballer. He currently plays for Molde FK in Norway. He plays as a central midfielder, usually deployed as an attacking one. He is very skilled with the ball, is good at finding his teammates and creates a lot of goals. During his three years in Sarpsborg he learned to speak fluent Norwegian.

Career

Thioune joined Molde in 2009,^[1] signing from Sarpsborg Sparta FK.^[2] He has previously played for ASC Linguère and Port Autonome.^[3]
