Day Pitney LLP was formed in January 2007 by the merger of two older firms: the Hartford, Connecticut based Day, Berry & Howard LLP (founded 1919), which was one of the largest firms in New England, and Pitney Hardin LLP (founded 1902), which had been based in New York and New Jersey.
