Chris Miseur

Chris Miseur (born 29th October 1953 in Holsbeek, Belgium) is a Belgian glassmaker and expressive artist who is classified as an abstract expressionist.She's a member of Belgian glass styling. She works with her husband Daniël Theys and son Daan Theys, they are also well known as the Theys and Miseur Trio and are one of the leaders of contemporary glass art.

Biography

Chris Miseur started her career in 1975 as expressive artist.In her first period she makes paintings and ceramics wich gives a feeling of meditation.In 1990 she started to combine her quality of painting with the magic of glass art.Now she makes highly-abstract monumental works with forms of pure color in glass.She specialises in glass fusion techniques ,where different layers of glass, are melted on and in each other.
