Samuel Mumford Taylor

Samuel Mumford Taylor (25 August 1859- 30 November 1929) [ [http://authorandbookinfo.com/ngcoba/ta.htm DOB/DOD] ] was the 2nd Bishop of Kingston-upon-Thames. He was educated at University College London ["University College London, Dec. 3. (Official Appointments and Notices)" The Times Monday, Dec 05, 1881; pg. 7; Issue 30369; col B] and ordained in 1885. After a curacy at "St John the Evangelist, Leeds " he became successively the first vicar of "St Aidan (Bishop Woodford Memorial)" in the same city [ [http://www.staidan-leeds.org.uk/tour.htm First Vicar of Parish] ] ; Canon Residentiary and Precentor at Southwark Cathedral, then Archdeacon of the area. Finally he was appointed to lead the worship for St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle ["New Royal Canon- Dr. Sheppard's Successor.
