"Remixed & Revisited" is the fifth compilation by American singer-songwriter Madonna, released on November 24, 2003 by Maverick Records. It was released to promote the album "American Life". The album is considered in some countries as a single, and in others as an album. It sold an estimated one million copies worldwide. Album history

Prior to its release, there were many rumors about Madonna releasing a special commemorative box set celebrating her 20th anniversary in the music business, but "Remixed & Revisited" was released insteadfact|date=January 2008. The EP itself contained many remixes of songs from her "American Life" album, as well as an unreleased song, and a recording of a live performance on MTV. Madonna herself admitted that the EP was, in a way, to give more life to the "American Life" album, which was received coolly by both fans and criticsfact|date=January 2008.
