Pakistan ipopular music group fromKohat ,North-West Frontier Province . The band is primarilyLahore -based; however, Haniya’s hometown isIslamabad , and a lot of the work involved takes them toKarachi often. Though the music and sound ofZeb and Haniya is hard to confine to one genre, it has been described at various times as Alternative, Art Folk, Ethnic Blues, World Music and Easy Listening.Line-up
The band is a project started by two musicians, who are cousins,
Zebunnisa Bangash andHaniya Aslam . The duo is supported by leading musicians ofPakistan such asMekaal Hasan from Mekaal Hasan Band and Omran Shafique from Mauj. Recently, they have appeared in an article published in Newsweek. Their debut music video "Aitebaar" directed bySaqib Malik who is known primarily for his avant-garde music videos, was recently on-air and was appreciated by many critics. Babar Shaikh was supposed to directZeb and Haniya 's second music video 'Chup!', but the idea has been dropped due to budget reasons.Chup
