Israeli outpost

Israeli outpost is a term used, often to describe a small Israeli settlement. [cite book|title=The Routledge Atlas of the Arab-Israeli Conflict|last=Gilbert|first=Martin|year=2005|publisher=Routledge|isbn=0415359007|pages=160|quote=|url=http://books.google.com/books?id=Wmyfc_Zh4R0C&pg=PA160&dq=%22Israeli+Outposts%22&as_brr=3&sig=ACfU3U1rUcJN7r-3_NzkkHAf0VvXOWTdbg#PPA160,M1] While remaining much smaller in nature than the majority of Settlements, housing between one and a few families, they are sometimes established against not just international law, but also without the approval of the Israeli Government, by settlers.
