Macau Sports and Olympic Committee

The Macau Sports and Olympic Committee ( _pt. Comité Olímpico e Desportivo de Macau (CODM), Traditional Chinese: 澳門體育暨奧林匹克委員會), or MSOC, is the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of the Macau, China. Although Macau is not an independent sovereign state, the territory is guaranteed by its constitution, the Macau Basic Law, the right to join international organisations that are not restricted to sovereign states. Under the name "Macau, China", Macau joined the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) in 1989, but is still not a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC); therefore, it has never fielded a team in any Olympics. By the date of Sept 10, 2008, it is reformed to Macau Sports and Olympic Committee besides of Macau Olympic Committee ( _pt. Comité Olímpico de Macau (COM)"', Traditional Chinese: 澳門奧林匹克委員會)

The current MOC President is Eddie Laam Wah Ying (Chinese: 藍鏵纓).
