Sub Club

The Sub Club is a club and music venue in Glasgow, Scotland. It was voted in 2008 the 5th best club in the world for atmosphere [http://www.residentadvisor.net/feature-read.aspx?id=931] and 10th best club overall [http://www.residentadvisor.net/feature-read.aspx?id=932] . This is despite the club's small size, but is perhaps testament to its diverse and experimental musical non-policy. It was founded in 1987, however in 1999 a fire in the pub next door spread, destroying the club and forcing it to close until 2002. A bodysonic dancefloor was installed, with clubs such as Fabric [http://www.livesoundint.com/archives/2001/septoct/fabric/fabric.php] using such technology.

At present the club's residents include Harri and Domenic's Subculture, mainstays since 1990, and Twitch and Wilkes' Optimo (Espacio), since 1997.
