Bellevue East High School is located in Bellevue, Nebraska. It was founded in 1962 as Bellevue High School. In 1977 it was renamed Bellevue East High School. It is part of the Bellevue Public School System, educating approximately 1450 students in grades 9 through 12. The school's cross-town rival is Bellevue West. The current principal is Brad Stueve.
Mascot and colors
The school colors are purple, silver, and white; purple being the color used at all secondary schools in the district, providing town unity. The Bellevue East mascot is the Chieftain, celebrating the area's rich Native American history.
