The Russia House was a 1990 film starring Sean Connery and Michelle Pfieffer, an adaptation of the novel of the same name by John Le Carre. It was directed by Fred Schepisi. It was filmed on location in Moscow and St Petersburg, and was released shortly before the fall of the Soviet Union, extremely pertinent as much of the story concerns declining Soviet power and the imminent collapse of the communist system.
