July 10 ,1933 ) Czech-born film director & screenwriter.One of the key figures in the
Czech New Wave in the early sixties, Passer worked closely withMiloš Forman on many of his films, and directed his first feature in1965 . Following theSoviet invasion in1968 , Passer defected to the West, aided byCarlo Ponti and has been living and working in theUnited States since then.Filmography
