The Great Bolo was a masked American professional wrestler who wrestled in the 1950s and 1960's. This masked wrestler was very well-known in the Carolinas, Georgia, and Florida.

The man under the mask was originally Al Lovelock. He formed a tag-team, The Bolos, with Tom Renesto as "The Mighty Bolo." After Lovelock moved to another territory, Renesto took over as The Great Bolo with "The Missouri Mauler" Larry Hamilton becoming his tag-team partner "The Mighty Bolo." Larry Hamilton's brother Jody Hamilton also wrestled as Renesto's partner as "The Mighty Bolo." While Renesto and Hamilton wrestled as The Bolos in the Mid-South, Lovelock wrestled elsewhere as The Great Bolo with tag-team partner Pepper Martin (not the baseball player) as "The Mighty Bolo." Martin's real name was Howard Martin and he later appeared in several films including "The Longest Yard", "Walking Tall", and "Superman II" and TV shows such as "Police Woman", "The Rockford Files", and "The Incredible Hulk".

Renesto and Jody Hamilton formed a new masked tag-team called The Assassins in 1961. This masked team became one of the most well-known heel teams of the 1960s and 1970's.
