baseball team in theDominican Summer League . The team is one of two minor league baseball teams represented by theToronto Blue Jays in the Dominican Summer League, the other being the Blue Jays2. The DSL is a rookie level competition, and therefore the team is a rookie affiliate. The team plays in the Bona Chica South division.Records
On Wednesday July 23rd, 2008 the Toronto Blue Jays signed 16 year old 6-3, 180 pound Dominican shortstop Gustavo Pierre (although expected to be moved to the outfield) as an international free agent for a signing bonus worth an estimated $700,000 and will start in the Dominican Summer League.
The 2008 Dominican Summer League season for Blue Jays1 ended with a record of 35 Wins and 33 Losses finishing 4th in the group and 13 Games Back from the Giants who were Division Champions.
