Sir John Shelley, 6th Baronet (born 18 December 1771 in England; died 14 March 1849 in England) was an English amateur cricketer who made 10 known appearances in major cricket matches from 1792 to 1795.
Shelley became 6th Baronet in September 1783 on the death of his father Sir John Shelley, 5th Baronet. In 1818, he became 1st Baronet Shelley Sidney of Penshurst Place.
Cricket career
He was mainly associated with Sussex and was an early member of Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) [Arthur Haygarth, "Scores & Biographies", Volume 1 (1744-1826), Lillywhite, 1862] .]References
