Sergio Rodríguez (born August 19, 1985 in Guadalajara, Jalisco) is a Mexican footballer who currently plays goalkeeper for Chivas de Guadalajara in the Primera División de México.
He is replacing starter Luis Ernesto Michel in the 2008 Mexican Apertura after Michel broke his forearm while playing the Superliga. On his debut versus Cruz Azul, Rodríguez stopped a penalty kick during the second minute of the game, making the stop his first play in the Primera División de México. Afterwards, he has received 22 goals in 9 games, including a friendly against FC Barcelona.
