The Academy for Environmental Leadership (AEL) is a small high school located in Bushwick, a neighborhood in Brooklyn, New York City. It was founded in September, 2006, and is located on the 3rd floor of the Bushwick High School Campus. As of Fall, 2008, the school will have 9th, 10th and 11th graders. The school is expected to grow to have a population of approximately 400 students, spread out through 4 grades.
The partner organizations of the Academy for Environmental Leadership include the Brooklyn Center for the Urban Environment, Brooklyn College and New Visions for Public Schools.
