Alfredo Seiferheld (July 26, 1950 – June 3, 1988) was a Paraguayan writer and journalist.

Early life and education

Born in Villarrica, Seiferheld was the son of Jewish parents who had fled Europe and settled years before in Villarrica. He began and completed his studies in Asunción.

He received a bachelor degree in 1967. In 1971 agreed to literature in history, Asunción. In both cases he received the gold medal for being the best student of the promotion.

At the beginning of the decade from 70 studies conducted at the University of the Sorbonne in Paris. Subsequently conducted postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Philosophy of the National University of Asunción.

He married Bibi Yurita.

Career

In 1986 he graduated from being his PhD thesis work" 'Nazism and fascism in Paraguay. It was a love of philately, "published in 1975 'Post and stamps Paraguayans in 1976" 'Philately, fans without barriers"'.

He was the founder and first president of the association Philatelic of Paraguay

He died at very young age, his last years were the most prolific in the field of culture. He died after a painful illness, June 3, 1988, aged 37 years.

He was a correspondent for the Associated Press news agency and the U.S. Times magazine.

Awards

Outstanding young, elected by the Junior Chamber of Paraguay in 1980.
