Ryde High School

Ryde High School is located on the Isle of Wight. Rob Hoddle is currently acting headteacher after suspension of previous headteacher Linda McGowan.Fact|date=September 2008 It is one of five state-maintained high schools on the island, the others being Carisbrooke High School, Cowes High School, Medina High School and Sandown High School.

* Politics (AS and A level only)
* Performing arts (AS and A level only)

The Concequence System

The 'Concequence System' or 'C' system is made up of different punishments:
* C1 = Verbal Warning
* C2 = Final Verbal Warning
* C3 = Report Card
* C4 = On Call (Removed out of lesson via telephone)
* C5 = Internal Exclusion
* C6 = Governors Pannel (Report to governors)

All of these can be avoided if you are good during lessons (inc lunch and breaks's)

Rewards System

In results in good work and effort, you will get rewarded.

Types of rewards:
* My Sticker(s) = These have codes printed on the front of the stickers to enter on the 'My Stickers' website to claim points and win prizes!
* Postcard home = You might have to work quite hard in order to claim one of these
* Certificate = You will have to work VERY hard to get one

Language And Arts college

Ryde High has been designated a language college for its excellent language facilities, Also For its Arts Facilitys. It was given an award for being a high performing specialty college and is currently the only school on the Isle of Wight to have it.
