- Improbable theatre
Improbable, often incorrectly called "Improbable Theatre", was founded by
Lee Simpson ,Phelim McDermott ,Julian Crouch and producerNick Sweeting in the mid 1990's. Although they had all worked together for some time, they were unable to get funding unless they formed an official company.Shows created by the company include "70 Hill Lane"; "Animo", a free form improvised puppetry show; "Keith Johnstone's Lifegame", an improvised interview; "Sticky", an outdoor pyrotechnic show involving the building of a hundred foot tower from Sticky Tape, created in collaboration with The World Famous; "Theatre of Blood"; and "The Hanging Man" (for which they gained the 2003 TMA Best Designer award).
