Allama Talib Jauhari ( Talib Johri or Talib Jauhry) is a prominent and distinguished Pakistani Islamic scholar, religious leader, public speaker, Urdu poet and philosopher from the Shi'ite sect of Islam who holds the prestigious position of Zakir-e-Sham-e-Ghariban (speaker of the evening of sorrow & ruined) on GEO TV for year 2007 and Pakistan Television for several years.

He has been an outstanding speaker on different themes of Islam for many decades. He has delivered speeches all over the world on Islamic themes particularly with the reference of the Ahl al-Bayt(Household) of Muhammad (May Peace be Upon them). Along with being an extra ordinary sepaker, Allama Talib Jauhri is a prolific writer, philosopher and a poet as well. He successfully relates Islamic ideas with modern political and philosophical thought. His recent book on philosophy "Aqliyat-e-Ma'asir" is an outstandng work on the history and major themes of philosophy in Urdu.

Allama Talib Jauhari is the son of a Shia scholar Moulana Mohammad Mustafa Jauhar Sahib Qibla, he studied Islamic theology in Najaf, Iraq under some of the biggest Scholars of the time such as Ayatullah al Uzma Sayyid Abul Qasim al Khoei and Shaheed Sayyid Muhammad Baqir as-Sadr and his class Peers include Allamah Sayyid Zeeshan Haider Jawadi Sahib Qibla and Maulana Hameed-ul-Hasan. Apart from giving lectures in Karachi, he also Orates in Dubai and the USA.

He is not only respected among the Shia community in the Indo-Pak Subcontinent but Sunnis also like to attend his lectures due to his Tafseer-e-Quran in a logical way. He is also a promoter of Shia Sunni unity in Pakistan.

His real name is Abu Talib but he is famous as "Allama Talib Jauhari".

Due to his huge popularity, there is always a risk to his life from his enemies. Therefore, the Government has provided him 24 hours security which increases during the special days for Shiite Muslims (Days of Martyrdom of Imam Hussain(as)). Moreover, a large number of Police guards move with him while traveling to various places for reciting/addressing to the religious gatherings, both in his city and across the cities.

He is always considered as a symbol of cross sect unity in the Muslims and his lectures are famous amongst all the sects of Muslims. People including President and Prime Minister of Pakistan love him and look him as one of the most respected moderate religious scholar.

His various books based on his speeches have been published. He has always condemned terrorism and violence in his speeches. A message of Love and Unity can be find in his speeches always.
