Felix Jongleur

Felix Jongleur

Felix Jongleur is the creator and overseer of the Otherland network from the Otherland book series by Tad Williams. He is also the head of The Grail Brotherhood. He chooses to have his meetings in a virtual Ancient Egypt he calls "Abydos That Was." Here he assumes the role of the Ancient Egyptian God Osiris. He is also the world's longest living human, having lived through both World Wars and continuing his life through the middle of the 21st Century. He spends most of his time on the net, and is connected via intravenus, to all the necessary chemicals to stay alive. As the owner and founder of J Corporation, Jongleur has access to equipment that allows him to stay inert while prolonging his life. Since his body is so frail, he cannot live a normal, healthy life and stays in this state for massive periods of time on end while connected to the net, where he can live any life he wants (although he spends most of his time in the fictional Egypt mentioned above, "Abydos That Was").
