Vas defrans

Vas Defrans, a five-piece experimental rock band based in North Hollywood, is probably best known for their appearance at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in the summer of 2008 [http://coachella.com/event/lineup] . The group consists of Kane Ritchotte on drums, Dash LeFrancis and Noah Gersh on guitar, Max Whipple on bass, and Brendan D'Amico on lead vocals. Originally Dash performed as the band's vocalist, but in late 2007 he decided to devote his energies to lead guitar and after a short series of auditions [http://video.yahoo.com/watch/50035/1565540] Brendan was added on in early 2008.
The group is largely progressive, and are quickly becoming known for their psychedelic sound and high-energy performances. They are often associated with the experimental rock group Din Caliber and the popular punk band Billy Boy On Poison. The three groups are known as being rather close friends.

Vas released their first album, "Cirque Defrans", in September 2006 [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kane_Ritchotte] and they recently revealed a new single called "Lucid." [http://rockremedy.com/236290/] It is speculated that the track may be included on an upcoming EP. As of July 2008, "Cirque" is believed to be out of print.
