Its administrative seat and largest town isPuławy , which lies convert|46|km|mi|0 north-west of the regional capitalLublin . The county also contains the towns ofNałęczów , lying convert|23|km|mi|0|abbr=on south-east of Puławy, andKazimierz Dolny , convert|11|km|mi|0|abbr=on south of Puławy.The county covers an area of convert|933|km2|sqmi|1. As of 2006 its total population is 116,829, out of which the population of Puławy is 49,839, that of Nałęczów is 4,243, that of Kazimierz Dolny is 3,572, and the rural population is 59,175.
