Robert V. Tauxe

Brigadier General Robert V. Tauxe, MD, MPH, is the Deputy Director for Science of the Foodborne, Bacterial, and Mycotic Disease Division [ [http://www.cdc.gov/nczved/dfbmd/about.html About | CDC DFBMD ] ] of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. He is a 25-year veteran of the Public Health Service and has been involved in many epidemiologic and scientific projects, including the 1984 Rajneeshee bioterror attack, the South American cholera pandemic of the early 1990s, and publicizing the connection between helicobacter Pylori and peptic ulcers.
