Aaladikkumulai

Aaladikkumulai

Aaladikkumulai (also known as Thamarai Kudi Kaadu) is a village located in Pattukkottai municipality in the Thanjavur district of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

The village contains a pond called 'Thamari Kulam', which is unusable for most of the year, due to the growth of algae, and a village school.

Most of the residents are educated. Agriculture used to be the main occupation, but this has declined in popularity, possibly due to lack of water and reduced profitability.

There is a temple dedicated to Amman for whom a festival is conducted every year.
