George Lang (restaurateur)

George Lang is an American restaurateur. He pioneered the profession of restaurant consulting when in 1970 he started the George Lang Corporation. He was also asked to write the entry for restaurant in the "Encyclopædia Britannica".fact|date=July 2008

His autobiography, entitled "Nobody Knows the Truffles I've Seen" (a witty reference to the slave spiritual "Nobody Knows the Trouble I've Seen") was published by Knopf in 1998.
