Scarlet and Black

The "Scarlet and Black", usually known as the S&B, is the official college newspaper at Grinnell College. It bills itself as the first college newspaper west of the Mississippi River. The newspaper, typically 16 tabloid pages in length, is published in print and online at [http://web.grinnell.edu/sandb the college's webserver] . Writing is primarily by students, although occasional letters from alumni or faculty are included. Funding comes from student fees and advertisers. Its current editors-in-chief are David Logan '09 and Patrick Caldwell '09.

Another newspaper on campus, though unofficial, is entitled "The B&S"," and features satirical, made-up articles about current events both on and off campus.
