The Lower East Side Conservancy, formally the Lower East Side Jewish Conservancy, is an historic preservation oganization with the mission of promoting and preserving Jewish culture on Manhattan's Lower East Side. [ [http://www.gothamgazette.com/history/ History Links ] ]

The conservance is attempting to transform the old Beth Hamedrash Hagadol into a visitors center for the Lower East Side with educational programs and gallery space.
