May 13 1983 inCleethorpes ,England ) is a former professional footballer who now plays at a semi-professional level for Brigg Town.Ward was a part of the youth system at Grimsby Town and was promoted to the first team squad by
Lennie Lawrence towards the close of the 2000-2001 season, however he did not make his debut till a year later, playing in the clubs 3-1 defeat to Millwall at the New Den.Ward went on to feature 13 times for The Mariners in all competitions before being released at the end of the 2003-2004 campaign, where he subsequently retired from the professional game to concentrate on his studies.
He signed a semi-pro contract for Non League side Brigg Town in 2004, with the club only being a short drive from Grimsby, Ward was able to play his football part time and still study in the Town.
