The Building Security Council (BSC) is a not-for-profit professional organization headquartered in Reston, Virginia that aims to improve the security of state, municipal, and privately owned buildings. [U.S. Federal projects have building security programs, but much information is classified and therefore unavailable to private and other government sectors.] The council was established in November 2005 by the American Society of Civil Engineers.
