In India, two contestants have answered the final question incorrectly, which caused them to lose 4,680,000 of the 5,000,000 rupee they had.However, the names of those contestants are unknown.

In addition, in the new edition, known as SUPER MILLIONAIRE (with a larger top prize of ¥20,000,000), contestants are not allowed to walk on the last 2 questions (question 9, 10). Also, in the United Kingdom, Laurence and Jackie Llewelyn-Bowen originally answered a flawed 15th question incorrectly and lost £468,000 sterling. They were invited back later and decided to walk away with a £500,000.
