- Peter David (politician)
Peter David is a Grenadian politician. He is the General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), a member of the House of Representatives from the Town of St. George constituency, and has been Minister of Tourism and Foreign Affairs since July 2008.
David was elected to the House of Representatives as an NDC candidate from the Town of St. George in the November 2003 general election. The New National Party (NNP), which was then the governing party, repeatedly went to court in attempts to prevent David from serving in Parliament, arguing that he is a citizen of
Canada and thus ineligible, but these legal efforts by the NNP were rejected. [ [http://www.caribbeannetnews.com/news-8625--32-32--.html "Controversial Grenada opposition candidate signs nomination papers"] , Caribbean Net News, June 19, 2008.]In the general election held on
