Urheilukanava is a Finnish TV channel that specializes in sports. The channel was launched on Aug 27, 2001 and is especially popular among Finnish football fans since the channel has made it possible to watch both high standard domestic and international football on TV for free in your own home.

The channel focuses on sports, especially football throughout the world. Among the countries whose matches it currently televises:

*One Finnish Premier Division match live every monday throughout the season + some additional matches.

*One La Liga match live per week on the payment free channel + some additional matches on the network's pay channel, Urheilu+Kanava.

Germany

*One 1.Bundesliga match live per week on the payment free channel + some additional matches on the network's pay channel, Urheilu+Kanava.

USA

*Major League Soccer matches live on the pay channel.

Brazil

*Campeonato Brasileiro and state championship matches live on the pay channel.

Urheilukanava also televises volleyball (both national and international), basketball, ice hockey (e.g. Mestis and the IIHF World Championships), floorball, horse riding etc. + a wide range of other sporting events like the Olympics.
