Alliage is a French boy band that was active in 1997-2000.

History

Alliage was a group assimilated with the phenomenon of the boy band. It is one of the groups of boys that most sold in France with 2Be3 and G-Squad. Four young man were the members of the band: Steven Gunnell, Roman Lata Ares, Brian Torres and the leader Quentin Elias. The marketing product Alliage was sold as a mixture of several origins (Corsican, French, Spanish, American) in the fusion of the one group. Some of their compositions were "alliages" of several languages ("Baila", "Lucy"). The destiny of the group materializes with success of their single "Baila" ("Dance, I love you, your memory still follows me"), sold in more than 450 000 copies in 1997. A first album named "The Album" was released in 1997, and was sold to more than 500 000 copies. Then at the top of their glory, they record duoes with famous artists like English boy band Boyzone, or Swedish pop band Ace of Base. However, sales of discs diminish from the end of 1990s and it is the end of the group, as besides the end of several other boys band, phenomenon having been only ephemeral. Quentin slams the door in the face of his extras in 1999 to launch into a solo career. He takes out a single in 2002 and other one in 2005, without big echo. Steven sings solo the Catholic music reconciling so his creed and his passion for the opera. The two others make of the photograph (Roman) or pose as model (Brian). In 2008, Quentin starts to make of the gay pornography for the company RandyBlue under the name of Q.
