Tautua Samoa Party

Tautua Samoa Party

The Tautua Samoa Party will be a political party in Samoa. It will be formed by twelve current, independent Members of Parliament. Its members have stated that its aim is to provide parliamentary opposition to the ruling Human Rights Protection Party. According to Radio New Zealand International, the new party's name will not be "registered under the requirements of the standing orders and the "Electoral Act", since doing so would result in its members losing their seats in Parliament. The party will, instead, be registered under the "Companies Act".
